Finally! I get to jump completely into something I love! It’s been a long time coming due to life, circumstances, and other opportunities, but I’m just so thankful that now I get to spend my time coaching!
My business is Valiant Health and Life Coaching and in the future I’ll explain the name and what it means to me. For now, I’ll give you a little bit of a low down on what health and life coaching is exactly.
A health coach is someone who comes alongside an individual as they explore the habits they’ve created, overcome challenges, address limiting beliefs, and more, that are creating the life and results they currently have (good or bad).
Health coaches begin the process with their clients to change these limiting beliefs, create new habits, and look for healthier ways of doing things that are sustainable. This is meant to change a person for a lifetime, not just temporarily.
So here is a huge difference…
Most diets and programs take one step back and evaluate “what can be done differently in order to have different results.”
Well, in terms of weight loss, eat better food and exercise more. Less calories in, more calories out= weight loss
Problem solved.
And each diet has its own way of doing it. But we already know that!!!! The question is why, why, WHY, are you doing what you're doing?
What health coaching does instead…
Life coaching is really similar and I love the combination because they are actually interdependent of each other.
A person cannot be healthy just by eating the right foods and getting the correct amount of exercise each day.
There is SO much more and if those other aspects of life are not addressed, they will be limited on the goals they are looking to achieve.
With that being said, a person may be on top of just about everything it seems, but if they aren’t working out and eating well, reaching their full potential still will not be achievable.
As you can see, one needs growth and improvement all around.
* “Your team is only as strong as your weakest link” - Sound familiar? That applies to an individual too.
